MOTORSPORTS
 |
When I was a child I went to motocross races
together with my father. I loved the noise, dirt
and smell of fuel.
Only at the age of 19 did I became acquainted
with carting by my ex-husband, the former
F1 driver Marc Surer – and I started to love it.
First it was an innocent hobby, later it became
a part of my life… |
After having driven cart races for 7 years, I had a bad accident on 21 September 2001
on the cart racetrack in Wohlen/Switzerland. A severe injury of my shoulder knocked
me out for months. Just at that time I got offers from the touring car sports and here
I discovered my interest in “cars with a roof”. Since then I have taken part in the
Alfa Romeo 147-Cup, the Swiss touring car championship (Super Serie), the
Ford Fiesta ST-Cup, the VLN long-haul cup, the Maserati Tropheo, the 24 hour race
at the Nuerburgring (four times) and, since 2005, in the Sear Leon Lupercopa. And this
is not the end…
I’ looking forward to a great season with my team in the Seat Leon Supercopa
and wish all the other racing drivers a season free of accidents.
